Image of President Abraham Lincoln used in most every textbook.
Lincoln was considered to have an un-statesman like appearance being tall and lanky, so in his presidential photograph, Lincoln's head was put onto the body of John Calhoun using darkroom techniques in this "historical" image.
but also,
John Calhoun was an American political leader who was a congressman, the secretary of war, the seventh vice president (1825–32), a senator, and the secretary of state of the United States. He championed states’ rights and slavery, and was a symbol of the Old South.....
